Animation and Training
Barbara Mones has almost 20 years experience developing innovative applications in computer graphics and animation, both in academia and industry. She designed and implemented training programs in digital modeling, animation and 3D paint at Dreamworks/Pacific Data Images and Industrial Light and Magic. She also consulted in computer animation training for the Disney company.
Barbara won a Group Achievement award for her work on Al Gore’s GLOBE Program for the White House and NASA. She was Founding Director of the Visual Information Technologies MA/MFA Program at George Mason University in Fairfax and has coordinated the international Student Animation Competition for ACM/SIGGRAPH for the past seventeen years. She lectures internationally on topics related to computer graphics, animation and curriculum development and has also enjoyed success with her own independent animation work.
